India's Cinematic Treasure Digitally Preserved

The Government of India, through the National Film Heritage Mission, has successfully digitized and preserved 1,469 films, amounting to 4.3 lakh minutes of cinematic content. This effort, undertaken by the National Film Archives of India, aims to safeguard and maintain the nation's significant film heritage. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting further supports film production across all Indian languages through its Development, Communication and Dissemination of Filmic Content scheme. Minister Dr. L. Murugan highlighted these achievements in a recent Lok Sabha session.
