India's Commitment to Monitoring SDGs at District Level

The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) in India has developed a National Indicator Framework (NIF) to monitor Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the national level, aligning them with various government schemes. States and Union Territories (UTs) are encouraged to create their own State Indicator Frameworks (SIFs) to track progress at local levels, with support from NITI Aayog and MoSPI. This initiative aims to integrate SDGs into national policies and ensure no one is left behind in development efforts.
