India's Commitment to Preserving Cultural Heritage

The Ministry of Culture under the Government of India is actively preserving both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Currently, 3,686 centrally protected monuments are cared for by the Archaeological Survey of India. Significant efforts include the digital documentation of artifacts, establishing Zonal Cultural Centres, organizing national festivals, and the ongoing National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities which aims to document the nation's archaeological assets.
