The Ministry of Home Affairs has emphasized its unwavering commitment to combating crimes against women and children through a broad spectrum of initiatives, which includes establishing infrastructure such as Women Help Desks across police stations and launching technological tools like the National Database on Sexual Offenders. Steps to improve investigation processes involve strengthening DNA analysis units and implementing new criminal laws under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. These efforts are complemented by Centrally supported schemes such as Fast Track Special Courts and the One Stop Centre Scheme for victim assistance, in addition to setting up helplines and increasing public awareness about safety measures.
