India's press and media ecosystem has seen significant growth, with the number of registered publications increasing from 1.05 Lakh in 2014-15 to 1.55 Lakh in 2024-25, and private satellite TV channels rising from 821 to 908. The DD Free Dish now offers 92 private and 50 Doordarshan channels in various regional languages, enhancing outreach.
