India's Food Processing Gets a Boost with PLI Scheme
The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for the Food Processing Industry, launched by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, is enhancing India's food processing sector. Running from FY 2021-22 to FY 2026-27 with a ₹10,900 crore budget, it boosts value addition, capacity, and employment, especially in rural industries.
