India's Global Engagement Scheme Promotes Folk Arts Internationally
The Ministry of Culture, through its Global Engagement Scheme, seeks to internationally promote India’s cultural heritage by empanelling artists for international performances, notably in the Festival of India abroad. The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) has sponsored numerous art troupes in the past five years, aiming to showcase under-represented indigenous arts worldwide.
