India's Industrial Production Grows 1.5% in June 2025

India's Index of Industrial Production (IIP) recorded a year-on-year growth of 1.5% in June 2025, driven primarily by a 3.9% increase in the manufacturing sector. The IIP index stands at 153.3, up from 151.0 in June 2024. However, the mining and electricity sectors saw declines of 8.7% and 2.6%, respectively. Key contributors to manufacturing growth included basic metals, coke and refined petroleum products, and fabricated metal products. The release of the IIP for July 2025 is scheduled for August 28, 2025.
