India's Industrial Production Grows 4.0% in September 2025

India's Index of Industrial Production (IIP) recorded a year-on-year growth of 4.0% in September 2025, driven by a 4.8% increase in the manufacturing sector. Key contributors included the manufacture of basic metals and electrical equipment, with growth rates of 12.3% and 28.7% respectively. The IIP stands at 152.8, up from 146.9 in September 2024, with positive growth observed in 13 out of 23 industry groups. The release of the October 2025 index is scheduled for November 28, 2025.
