India's Labour Ministry Partners with Microsoft to Enhance Job Opportunities and Digital Skills
The Ministry of Labour & Employment in India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Microsoft, in the presence of Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. This strategic partnership aims to enhance job opportunities, improve AI-driven digital skills, and foster workforce readiness by leveraging Microsoft’s global network. The MoU emphasizes expanding access to formal job markets and increasing the international mobility of Indian professionals. Additionally, Microsoft commits to integrating over 15,000 employers into the Ministry's National Career Service platform, thus significantly broadening employment linkages. The partnership will also scale AI-led skilling initiatives to prepare India's workforce for global industry standards.
