The Indian government has consolidated 29 labour laws into four comprehensive Labour Codes aimed at simplifying compliance, modernizing outdated provisions, and promoting ease of doing business while safeguarding workers' rights. The reforms include the Code on Wages, Industrial Relations Code, Code on Social Security, and Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, which collectively enhance worker security, dignity, and welfare, while also fostering economic growth and employment opportunities.
