India's Ministry of Statistics Releases First Index of Services Production
The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has issued the first Trial Index of Services Production (ISP), covering 19 sub-sectors for April 2026. This release represents a significant advancement in tracking India's formal services sector which makes up a significant part of the economy. Monthly releases will continue on the 29th of each month, enabling real-time monitoring of short-term trends in this crucial area.
