India's Proactive Measures to Boost MSMEs and Ease Business Operations

The Government of India is enhancing the operational environment for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to boost ease of doing business. Notable initiatives include revising MSME definitions for better tech and business expansion, the launch of the Udyam Registration Portal, and supporting informal enterprises through Udyam Assist. A substantial Rs. 9,000 crore influx was injected into the Credit Guarantee Fund, encouraging collateral-free loans. Moreover, the Rs. 5 lakh crore Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme prevented many MSMEs from financial decline. Various portals and schemes like MSME-SAMBANDH and the National SC-ST Hub promote inclusive growth by fostering business opportunities for SC/ST entrepreneurs. This information was shared by Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for MSMEs, in the Lok Sabha.
