The Government of India has reported significant achievements in the elimination and control of major infectious diseases. Key milestones include a 17.7% reduction in Tuberculosis incidence, a 78.1% drop in Malaria cases, and successful Kala-azar elimination in 633 blocks. The Case Fatality Rate for Dengue remains below 1%, and there has been an 84% decline in mother-to-child HIV transmission. Enhanced disease surveillance through the Integrated Health Information Platform has also been implemented, monitoring over 50 epidemic-prone diseases.
