India's Push for an Indigenous Electronic Toy Industry with MeitY's New Initiative
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of India launched an innovative training program aimed at strengthening the country's burgeoning electronic toy industry. During the convocation ceremony for the second group of graduates from this initiative, an Electronic Toys Lab was inaugurated at C-DAC, Noida. The project is part of a broader effort to equip young engineers, especially from underrepresented communities, with advanced skills in electronic toy design and development. Over the course of the year, participants gain practical experience and receive a stipend while collaborating with industry leaders such as the LEGO Group. This initiative signifies a cornerstone in building a versatile and indigenous electronic toy industry in India, paving the way for entrepreneurship and increased industry growth.
