India's Telecom Exports Soar by 72% Over Five Years

India's telecom sector is experiencing significant growth, with exports increasing by 72% from ₹10,000 crore to ₹18,406 crore over the past five years, as announced by Union Minister of Communications, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia. This growth is indicative of India moving towards self-reliance and global leadership in telecommunications under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In addition to export growth, India has made notable progress in 5G deployment, connecting 767 out of 778 districts to the network, with subscribers expected to reach 100 crore by 2030. The SATCOM policy framework is also firmly in place, aiming to expand telecom services across the country, with licenses already issued to companies like Starlink, OneWeb, and Reliance.
