India's Textile Export Strategies Amid Global Tariff Challenges
The Ministry of Textiles has been closely monitoring India's textile and apparel exports, which saw a slight decline of 1.8% during April-October 2025 compared to the previous year. Despite challenges such as US tariffs and global economic conditions, the sector showed resilience with growth across over 100 countries. To support the industry, the government has initiated various schemes, including the PM MITRA Parks Scheme and the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, along with tax rebates and duty exemptions. Efforts also focus on market diversification and enhancing competitiveness through the Credit Guarantee Scheme for Exporters and the Export Promotion Mission.
