The International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) has developed a cost-effective cold spraying technique using air as a process gas to create ultra-durable coatings on metal surfaces. These coatings, made from Ni–Cr alloys, can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures, enhancing the longevity of power plant components.
