Innovative DiaCue Diagnostic Kit Receives TDB-DST Support for Childhood Diarrhea Detection

The Technology Development Board of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, has provided financial backing to BabyCue Private Limited in Cuttack, Odisha for developing the DiaCue Diagnostic Kit. This rapid diagnostic platform aims to accurately differentiate between bacterial and non-bacterial childhood diarrhea quickly and inexpensively using a paper-based method. The kit, rooted in Lateral Flow Assay technology, offers cost-effective, point-of-care diagnosis beneficial for rural and resource-limited areas and has been clinically validated at ESIC Hospital Hyderabad. With strong intellectual property protection, DiaCue aims to minimize antibiotic misuse and contribute to better healthcare in India.
