Innovative Digital Monitoring for Rural Water and Sanitation Services
The Government of India, in collaboration with States, is advancing the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to provide tap water to every rural household. Utilizing the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) and IoT-based sensors, the mission aims to enhance transparency and data accuracy across multiple levels. A similar digital strategy is implemented for sanitation via the SBM-G Portal, supporting open defecation free status and waste management monitoring.
