Innovative Solutions to Arsenic Contamination in Groundwater

The Ministry of Jal Shakti has announced the successful implementation of cement-sealing technology for constructing Arsenic-free wells, developed by the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB). This method has been shared with state departments for replication, leading to the construction of 204 wells in Uttar Pradesh. CGWB continues to monitor groundwater quality and promote safe drinking water initiatives through the Jal Jeevan Mission, while also addressing surface water contamination through various environmental programs.
