Innovative Supercapacitors Enhance Electric Vehicle Performance
A team at the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI) under the Department of Science and Technology in India has developed a novel supercapacitor using a dual-functional porous graphene carbon nanocomposite (PGCN) electrode. This new technology enables a higher operating voltage of 3.4 V, surpassing the conventional limit of 3.0 V, and significantly increases energy storage. This advancement promises to improve electric vehicles' range and acceleration and supports India's Aatma Nirbhar Bharat initiative for clean energy technology.
