INS Arnala Commissioned into Indian Navy
INS Arnala, the first of the Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, was commissioned into the Indian Navy on June 18, 2025, at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam, in the presence of Chief of Defence Staff, General Anil Chauhan. This 77-meter-long warship is designed for various anti-submarine operations and represents a significant step towards India's self-reliance in defense manufacturing. The commissioning ceremony highlighted India's transition from a 'Buyer's Navy' to a 'Builder's Navy', showcasing indigenous design and engineering capabilities.
