INS Sagardhwani Embarks on Sagar Maitri V Mission

INS Sagardhwani, an oceanographic research vessel under India's Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory of DRDO, set off from Kochi for the fifth edition of the Sagar Maitri initiative. This program encourages scientific collaboration and capacity building in ocean research among Indian Ocean Rim countries, reflecting India's MAHASAGAR vision for regional security and growth. The mission intends to retrace the historic routes of INS Kistna and bolster partnership with eight IOR countries.
