INS Sudarshini to Engage in 10-Month Transoceanic Sail Expedition, Lokayan 26
INS Sudarshini, a sail training ship of the Indian Navy, is set to embark on a major 10-month, 22,000 nautical mile transoceanic expedition named Lokayan 26. Departing on January 20, 2026, the voyage will see the ship visiting 18 ports in 13 countries, aligning with India's maritime heritage. The expedition includes participation in international events in France and the USA. More than 200 trainees will gain extensive sail training, enhancing maritime cooperation and cultural diplomacy.
