INS Trikand Thwarts Pirate Attack in Gulf of Aden

The Indian Naval Ship Trikand successfully responded to a piracy attempt on the MV Golden Arsenal in the Gulf of Aden. The vessel, travelling from Aden, Yemen, was attacked approximately 300 nautical miles east-northeast of Djibouti. Upon receiving a distress signal, the Indian Navy ship intercepted the merchant vessel and conducted a thorough search with no suspicious personnel found. An Indian Navy P-8I Maritime Patrol Aircraft provided aerial reconnaissance to support the operation. Following the successful neutralization of the threat, MV Golden Arsenal resumed its journey. The Indian Navy remains committed to ensuring maritime security in the region.
