Institutional Framework for Coastal and Cruise Tourism
The Ministry of Tourism is enhancing coastal and cruise tourism through various state and central initiatives, including financial assistance for infrastructure development and the revamped Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme. The Cruise Bharat Mission aims to create a collaborative framework among government agencies to promote responsible tourism. A separate coastal tourism policy is not currently planned, but ongoing projects and funding are in place to support development in this sector.
