Integration of ODOP Scheme with MGMD Initiative Discussed in Lok Sabha

The Ministry of Culture conveyed details on the integration, or lack thereof, between the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme and the MGMD initiative. The MGMD, led by the National Mission on Cultural Mapping, focuses on documenting village cultural heritage rather than promoting commercial activities. The Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, clarified that there are no plans to merge these two initiatives.
