The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship emphasizes the integration of vocational education with mainstream education as per the National Education Policy 2020. The National Credit Framework (NCrF) has been established to facilitate credit accumulation across various educational levels. The Samagra Shiksha scheme supports vocational education for students from classes 9 to 12, with 138 job roles approved for skill subjects. Employability skills are mandatory, and the initiative has been implemented in over 24,000 schools, benefiting nearly 3.2 million students.
