International Manuscript Heritage Conference to Celebrate India's Knowledge Legacy
The Government of India is set to host the first International Manuscript Heritage Conference titled ‘Reclaiming India’s Knowledge Legacy Through Manuscript Heritage’ in September 2025. This event commemorates the 132nd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda's address at the Parliament of the World's Religions. The conference will gather scholars and experts to discuss themes such as ancient script decipherment, digital archiving, manuscript conservation, and cultural diplomacy. The government has initiated various measures to preserve India's manuscript heritage, including digitization efforts and international collaborations.
