CROPIC (Collection of Real Time Observations and Photographs of Crops) is a digital application launched under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) aimed at enhancing crop health monitoring and damage assessment. The app collects geotagged photographs from farmers and field coordinators to validate insured crops and assess damage from localized calamities. It supports real-time crop surveillance and strengthens the effectiveness of crop insurance and disaster response, as stated by the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Ramnath Thakur.
