Jury Praises Diversity at 56th International Film Festival of India

At the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the International Competition Jury commended the diversity and originality of the film entries during a press conference. With 15 films, including three Indian entries, the jury, led by filmmaker Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, highlighted the prominence of children-centric stories reflecting global issues. The jury emphasized the importance of originality and independent filmmaking over major OTT platforms. They also acknowledged the growing participation of women in cinema, focusing on content rather than filmmaker gender.
