KVIC Disburses Rs 300 Crore Subsidy to Boost Self-Employment
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has disbursed a margin money subsidy of Rs 300 crore to 8794 beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). This initiative aims to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship across India, with significant participation from all six zones of the country. The PMEGP has established over 10 lakh micro enterprises, providing direct and indirect employment to over 90 lakh people since its inception.
