Launch of 'Apna Ghar' Facilities for Truck Drivers
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has launched 'Apna Ghar', an initiative to enhance the safety and well-being of truck drivers during long-haul journeys. As of July 1, 2025, 368 facilities with 4,611 beds have been established along highways, offering dormitories, restaurants, self-cooking areas, clean toilets, bathing areas, and purified drinking water. The initiative has received positive feedback from truck drivers, reflected in increased bookings and app registrations.
