Launch of Bima Sakhi Yojana for Women's Empowerment

The Ministry of Rural Development has launched the 'Bima Sakhi Yojana' under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, aimed at empowering women and providing economic security in rural areas. Trained members of Self-Help Groups will serve as 'Bima Sakhis' at the Gram Panchayat level, promoting entrepreneurship and financial independence. This initiative aligns with the government's mission of 'Insurance for All by 2047' and aims to create 2 crore Lakhpati Didis by August 15, enhancing women's workforce participation and contributing to disaster protection.
