Launch of CROPIC Initiative for Crop Health Monitoring

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has launched a digital application called CROPIC, aimed at capturing geotagged photographs of crops for health monitoring under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. The app allows farmers and field coordinators to submit real-time observations and photographs to assess crop validation and damage due to localized calamities. This initiative was announced by Minister of State for Agriculture, Shri Ramnath Thakur, in the Rajya Sabha.
