The Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme (EMPS) 2024, effective from April 1 to September 30, 2024, aims to accelerate the adoption of electric two-wheelers (e-2W) and three-wheelers (e-3W) in India. The scheme offers incentives for domestically manufactured e-2W and e-3W, while also enforcing compliance with the Phased Manufacturing Programme (PMP) to enhance local production of EV components. This initiative is expected to bolster the electric vehicle manufacturing ecosystem and create job opportunities in the sector.
