The Ministry of Defence announced the launch of the final Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC), Yard 3034 (Ajay), on July 21, 2025, at GRSE, Kolkata. The ship, designed and built indigenously by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE), enhances the Indian Navy's underwater surveillance and anti-submarine warfare capabilities. With over 80% indigenous content, it symbolizes the government's 'Make in India' initiative and is crucial for securing national maritime interests in the Indian Ocean region.
