Launch of NAVYA: Empowering Adolescent Girls through Vocational Training

The Ministry of Women and Child Development launched 'NAVYA', a skilling initiative aimed at empowering adolescent girls aged 16 to 18 years through vocational training in non-traditional job roles. The program, part of the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, will provide training in various skills such as graphic design, telecom services, and more, enabling girls to achieve economic independence and entrepreneurial spirit. The initiative is being rolled out in 27 districts across 19 states, utilizing resources from existing government schemes.
