The Government of India is set to launch 'NAVYA', a pilot initiative aimed at skilling adolescent girls aged 16-18, on June 24, 2025, in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. This program, in alignment with the Viksit Bharat@2047 vision, will provide vocational training in non-traditional job roles across 27 districts, focusing on empowering girls with skills and confidence. The initiative is a collaboration between the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, drawing on existing skill development schemes.
