Launch of NCVET-Approved Skill Courses on Tea Sommeliers and Tea Tasting

On International Tea Day, Commerce Secretary Shri Sunil Barthwal launched NCVET-approved skill courses on Tea Sommeliers and Tea Tasting, aimed at skilling youth and promoting tea literacy. The courses, developed by the Tea Board India with assistance from the Agriculture Skill Council of India, include 'Essentials of Tea Sommeliers' and 'Fundamentals of Tea Tasting'. These initiatives are designed to enhance India's tea value chain and align with the National Education Policy 2020.
