Launch of New National Cooperative Policy: A Roadmap for Cooperative Sector Development

The National Cooperation Policy 2025, launched by the Minister of Home & Cooperation on July 24, 2025, aims to comprehensively develop the cooperative sector under the principle of 'Sahkar se Samriddhi.' This new policy outlines a 10-year framework with 6 strategic pillars, 16 objectives, and 83 recommendations designed to enhance the effectiveness and inclusiveness of cooperatives across India. Key strategies include strengthening the foundational structure, promoting inclusivity, exploring new sectors, and ensuring youth engagement. The Ministry actively collaborates with states to align regional policies, ensuring a cohesive approach toward national goals.
