Launch of Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana to Enhance Employment
The Government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, an Employment Linked Incentive Scheme aimed at boosting employment generation and enhancing social security, particularly in the manufacturing sector. The scheme, which runs from August 2025 to July 2027, has a budget of ₹99,446 Crore and aims to create approximately 2.59 crore jobs. Additionally, the e-Shram platform has integrated fourteen welfare schemes to provide better access to social security for unorganised workers, including a mobile application for real-time access to benefits.
