Launch of SEED Scheme for DNT Communities

The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched the 'Scheme for Economic Empowerment of DNTs (SEED)' aimed at empowering De-notified, Nomadic, and Semi Nomadic communities. The scheme focuses on educational assistance, health support through Ayushman Cards, livelihood improvement via Self Help Groups (SHGs), and housing provisions under government schemes. A total of 3,438 SHGs with 46,067 members have been formed. The Development and Welfare Board for these communities has also been established to facilitate their development and welfare.
