Launch of Sixth 25T Bollard Pull Tug Sabal

The Ministry of Defence announced the launch of the sixth 25T Bollard Pull Tug, named Sabal, on May 27, 2025, at M/s Titagarh Rail Systems Limited in Kolkata. The tug is part of a contract for six tugs designed and built under Indian naval regulations. These tugs will assist the Indian Navy in berthing and maneuvering operations, provide fire-fighting support, and conduct limited search and rescue operations, embodying the 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives.
