Launch of Third Round of PLI Scheme for Specialty Steel

Union Minister of Steel and Heavy Industries, Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, has launched the third round of the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Specialty Steel, aiming to attract new investments in advanced steel products. The scheme has already garnered ₹43,874 crores in investment and created over 30,000 jobs. The new round will cover 22 product sub-categories and offers incentives ranging from 4% to 15% of incremental sales for a period of five years, starting from FY 2025-26.
