Launch of Web-Based C-Flood Platform for Inundation Forecasting

The Government has launched a web-based C-Flood platform that provides two-day advance inundation forecasts at the village level, featuring inundation maps and water level predictions. The platform integrates advanced 2D hydrodynamic modeling and serves as a unified information system for flood modeling outputs across various river basins, initially covering the Godavari, Tapi, and Mahanadi River Basins. It supports Hindi, English, and Odia languages and categorizes flood alerts based on inundation depth: Yellow (below 0.5m), Orange (below 1.5m), and Red (exceeding 1.5m).
