Yard 3034 (Ajay), the eighth and final ship of the Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW SWC) project, was launched on July 21, 2025, at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata. The ship, designed and built indigenously, will enhance the Indian Navy's capabilities in underwater domain awareness and anti-submarine warfare. With over 80% indigenous content, it aligns with India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, showcasing advancements in shipbuilding and defense technology.
