Legal Resource Centers to Support Tribals in Odisha

The Indian government, through the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), has established 132 Village Legal Care & Support Centres in Odisha to aid marginalized communities including Scheduled Tribes. These centers, developed under the guidelines of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, aim to provide free legal aid and ensure justice is accessible to all. In 2025, four National Lok Adalats were organized as part of an alternate dispute resolution mechanism, enabling efficient legal processes across various judicial levels in Odisha.
