Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme Success

The Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme (LHDCP) has successfully reduced outbreaks of livestock diseases such as Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), Brucellosis, and Lumpy Skin Disease (LSD) through effective vaccination. The number of FMD outbreaks decreased from 132 in 2019 to 93 in 2024, with only 6 reported in 2025.
